Staying Competitive in the Portuguese Renewables Market

On the 7th of June, a conference was held in Lisbon, at the Hotel Pestana – Pousada de Lisboa, in Praça do Comércio, on the theme “Staying competitive in the Portuguese renewable energy market”.
At a time when Europe is discussing the objectives to be achieved in the production of renewable energy, in order to achieve carbon neutrality and at the same time reduce energy dependence in Europe, and consequently in Portugal.
The theme of REPowerEU, which is the European Union's plan to make Europe independent of Russian fossil fuels before 2030. This strategy takes place in response to the War in Ukraine.
This forum was attended by important players operating in the renewables market in Portugal, as well as the Portuguese Government represented by the Secretary of State for the Environment and Energy, João Galamba.
Several fundamental themes for the development of renewable energies were addressed, as well as the challenges and constraints that arise in a highly competitive and demanding market, which acts strongly in the decarbonization of the economy.
